The area’s first long-term acute care (LTACH) facility is at Belmont Community Hospital (BCH). Known as Acuity Specialty Hospital-Bellaire, the LTACH is owned and operated by Acuity Specialty Hospitals-Ohio Valley, LP.
The 32-bed facility is located on BCH’s second floor.
LTACH facilities serve patients who have complex medical problems requiring intensive, specialized care for a long period, requiring a 25-day minimum stay.
Acuity Specialty Hospitals-Ohio Valley, LP, is a member hospital of Acuity Healthcare, LP, a privately owned company based in Austin, Texas, that specializes in LTACH specialty hospitals.
