Long-Term Acute Care
The area's first long-term acute care (LTAC) facility is at Belmont Community Hospital (BCH). Known as Acuity Specialty Hospital-Bellaire, the LTAC is owned and operated by Acuity Specialty Hospitals-Ohio Valley, LP.
The 20-bed facility is located on BCH's remodeled second floor.
LTAC facilities serve patients who have complex medical problems requiring intensive, specialized care for a long period, typically 20 to 30 days.
Acuity Specialty Hospital-Ohio Valley, LP, is a member hospital of AcuityHealthcare, LP, a privately owned company based in Austin, Texas, that specializes in LTAC specialty hospitals.

Belmont Community Hospital
Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire became an affiliate of Wheeling Hospital in 1996. It offers primary care and selected specialty services. Additional services are now available at its outpatient centers located in Powhatan Point, Shadyside, Bellaire and St. Clairsville.
