The Center for Wound Care
The Center for Wound Care at Wheeling Hospital has provided wound care services since January 1999. Patients are referred by physicians for chronic wound(s) that are not responding to current treatment. These wounds may be associated with diabetes; venous and or/arterial; complicated surgical wounds; pressure ulcers, and many other medical conditions.
Services
The Center for Wound Care uses the most current treatment modalities, including:
- enzymatic debriding agents.
- vacuum-assisted closure (VAC) therapy.
- compression therapy.
- apligraf.
- other treatments based on individual cases.
