Criteria for Residency Applicants
AOA
- Graduate from an AOA-accredited college of osteopathic medicine.
- Graduation from medical school within five years.
- Passed COMLEX II including the PE/Clinical Skills exam.
- Number of attempts: maximum one total failure (no failure on PE).
- Be or become a member of the AOA and ACOFP. These memberships must be maintained throughout residency.
- Be appropriately licensed in the state in which training is conducted.
- In order to be accepted as an OGME-2 resident, the applicant must have completed an AOA- approved internship or its equivalent.
We will consider sponsoring J1 or H1B visa. If an applicant selects the H1B visa, all associated expenses are the responsibility of the applicant.
The visa must be secured in order to begin orientation as scheduled to start the program on time. We do not offer delayed starts.
Sports Medicine Program
The Sports Medicine Program in the Family Medicine residency provides an emphasis on musculoskeletal medicine in primary care and experience as a team physician on a local, state and national level.
